Ryan and Caroline Bios

Ryan and CarolineRyan & Caroline are co-hosts of Clear Channel's nationally syndicated radio talk
show "PRIDE Radio with Ryan & Caroline." Known as radio's "Will & Grace," they can be heard on FM radio in select cities across America and also nationwide on HD radio and online.

The show features weekly interviews with celebrities. Past guests have included: Jude Law, Queen Latifah, Robert Downey Jr., Hilary Duff, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Alan Cumming, Liza Minnelli, Amanda Bynes, John Waters, James Marsden, Lance Bass, Rufus Wainwright, Scissor Sisters, Mika, Joan Collins, James Brolin, Idina Menzel, Laura Bell Bundy, Kenneth Branagh, GLAAD President Neil Giuliano, and many
more.

Each episode includes segments with special correspondents such as entertainment gossip with the Senior Editor of US Weekly magazine, news with the reporters from CBS News on Logo, coming out stories shared by listeners who call into the show. There are also movie reviews, plus segments on fashion, travel and lifestyle trends.

Ryan & Caroline also often record in the field, frequently interviewing stars on the red carpet at movie premieres, celebrity parties and events.

Fashion Police

In addition to their weekly syndicated radio show, the duo also regularly appears in US Weekly magazine as Fashion Police, commenting on celebrity style. With a fun sense of irreverence and appreciation for Hollywood A-listers, Ryan & Caroline
remark about stars and their fashion faux-pas.

Film Critics

Ryan and CarolineThey also co-author the popular film review site WeSeeMovies.com with their brand of cheeky and fresh movie reviews, movie news and videos of the two interviewing movie
stars at junkets for major motion pictures.

Launched in 2005, WeSeeMovies.com is a film review site in the style of today’s hottest gossip blogs. Unlike conventional film critics who Ryan & Caroline find stuffy, wordy and too revealing about a movie’s plot, WeSeeMovies.com provides movie reviews they way friends talk about films upon exiting the theater – dishing what’s really important: who’s hot or not, whether it was too long, is it bottom-line-entertaining, and ultimately, is it worth the price of admission? The success of the site caught the attention of OK! Magazine which has ranked it as #2 on its “Must List.” (February 2006)

Radio Weekend Movie Previews

Fusing their passion for film and their talent in radio, Ryan & Caroline can also be heard every Friday on morning radio talk shows around the US offering their weekend movie preview.

Personal History

Ryan Jay & Caroline Hand met during the summer of 2000 while working as producers at VH1 in New York City and fast became best friends.

Prior to that significant moment, Ryan had earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. While in school he created and led an opportunity for fellow students, offering college credit based on his field experience as intern
at “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Sally Jesse Raphael Show.” He delivered the commencement address at his graduation.

After college, he joined the news team at the CBS-TV affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin as an on-air reporter. His dislike for formulaic news soon led him to Chicago where he worked as a producer for “The Jerry Springer Show.” That experience, though wild, was invaluable and paved the way to New York City. He produced another talk show in the Big Apple before moving on to pop culture programming at VH1 where he
met Caroline. Among the shows he produced for VH1 was the highly rated five hour miniseries “The 100 Greatest Red Carpet Moments.”

Post VH1, Ryan produced a weekly half-hour series for MTV called “Bangin’ the Charts.” He further produced the promotional campaign for the third season of
Showtime’s “Queer As Folk,” many on-air promos for Nickelodeon, The Sundance Channel, and Logo. Most recently he has produced pilots for VH1 and the reality TV
version of “Sex and the City” for Bravo.

Caroline attended Yale University where she earned a B.A. in Classical Civilization. Upon graduating, she worked at NewsTalk Television as a guest booker before
transitioning into film. She spent three years working in development at Miramax Films. She then returned to work in TV at VH1 where she met Ryan. At VH1 she garnered an array of production experience, from casting to producing; working on such popular programs as the incredibly successful “I Love the…” series (70s, 80s, 90s, etc…), “Driven,” “All Access,” “Red Hot Red Carpet” and more.

Caroline has also worked as a voice over artist for Clear Channel and VH1. Both Ryan & Caroline have produced episodes of VH1’s “The Fabulous Life of…” series.

Recently, Ryan & Caroline have made public appearances in cities around the nation which air their show, to celebrate visibility, acceptance and diversity in the gay community.
